Capital Show

From the cutting-edge Air Force fighter jet to a crop duster launching fireworks to behemoth jet on doomsday alert to a vintage twin engine passenger plane rolling across the sky the California Capital Airshow at Mather Airport had something for every aviation enthusiast.

As part of the Mather’s 100 year celebration the three-day airshow featured an Airshow After Dark with performances beginning at dusk and trailing into night with parachutists trailing pyrotechnics and airplanes launching fireworks in the night sky.

Among the show highlights were the Air Force F-35 Lightning II Heritage Flight and demonstration, Canadian Forces CF-18, a Twin Beech 18 performance, the E-4B Nightwatch doomsday Scramble, an Air National Guard F-1c flight, a World War II flight with a B-17 Flying Fortress and much more.
