Paint the sky
Cool winds and clouds bring the first hint of winter coming to the Isenberg wetlands outside Lodi. The calendar still says fall but the colors in the sky hint of things to come.
My sunrise trip to Isenberg was painted with the warm hues of the morning. The wetlands can serve a fiery palette of colors in the morning as the clouds are illuminated by the approaching sunrise.
Along with the sandhill cranes today’s trip found flocks of geese making their morning departure. Standing in the pre-dawn darkness the trumpets and honks called out across the water.
As winter approaches and the weather goes colder the hues will change as the light adjusts to the weather. There are more sunrises and sunsets to see this season as the cranes create their masterpieces of color and shape in the sky.
Always glad to see your work and appreciate you getting up so early to bring us photos like these.
