The wind and the water
The thunder of water crashing on the rocks was the tune of the day for a trip to some of Yosemite’s most famous waterfalls during a day trip to the valley this week.
Plentiful rain and snow have charged the waterfalls as the rocks. This trip was playing tourist and enjoying the views.
Walking to the viewing area of the base of Bridalveil Falls and Lower Yosemite falls resembled a walk in a rain shower as mist and spray blew across the trail. Taking pictures was a challenge in the onslaught of water drops hurled at the lens by wind gust blowing through the valley.
It will be interesting to return this summer and see as the winter accumulation of snow melts and fuels the creeks, rivers and falls throughout the park.
