Nearing the halfway mark for November a sunrise visit to the Isenberg crane reserve brought colder temperatures and a light fog.I was rewarded with a gorgeous sunrise and brilliant colors as the cranes made their morning departures.
The cranes chose to mostly avoid the water and as dawn broke I could see them gathered along the far edge of the wetlands. As the sun rose, filtered through the layers of fog and smog along the horizon, the cranes began their morning flights.
I figure I have maybe a months more of visits before the winter weather finally arrives and makes the visits impracticable. Hopefully I will continue to have a harvest of colors to see.
